KOCHI CD album coverWriting songs and instrumental music is one of Ruth’s greatest joys. She writes songs in a variety of genres including; country, folk, rock, gospel, children’s music, R&B, blues, latin, and classical. Her songs have appeared in award winning films, in print music compilations, on the radio, and as theme songs for festivals. They have been on the albums of recording artists and groups both in the U.S.A. and abroad. Her three original albums have sold in the U.S. and Canada.

Ruth’s songwriting awards include 1st place in the New York Pro/Am Songwriting Competition, and awards in The Music City Song Festival, Nashville Songwriting Competition, The Jewish American Songwriting Festival, the Shalshelet Jewish Music Festival 2015, and the Hollywood Music in Media Awards and John Lennon Songwriting competition 2016.

Ruth was Director/ Producer/ Arranger for the San Diego Jewish Men’s Choir’s (SDJMC) 2014 debut CD, “Heritage,” which won a Global Music Award in 2014.
Her choir’s newest release,KOCHI, debuted at #3 on the Billboard World Music Charts, has already garnered 2 Medals in the 2015 Global Music Awards, First Place in the Akademia Music Awards for Best World Beat Album, and has been in the #1 slot on Amazon.com’s New Release Hits Chart for World Music (Middle Eastern) for three weeks!
