Ruth Weber has been teaching music for over 25 years, both privately and on the college level. She has taught at The Learning Tree University (in the San Fernando Valley), Meadowbrook Summer Music Camp (in San Francisco), Cuyamaca College (San Diego), and she is presently a member of the music faculty at Palomar College (San Marcos campus), and Miramar College in San Diego. Ruth has taught; Basic Musicianship, Theory I, Ear Training I and II, Beginning Class Piano, Advanced Class Piano, College Chorus, Performance Studies, Accompanying Ensemble, Intro to Music for Elementary School Teachers, Intro to Music (a music history overview), and a team taught Humanities course.

Ruth is a member of the Music Teacher’s Association of California (MTAC), and her private piano students participate in the Certificate of Merit evaluations, and have won awards in many of the other MTAC festivals in addition to other scholarship competitions. Watching her students’ progress and seeing many of them continue on to become professional musicians has been one of Ruth’s most rewarding life experiences.
